Juanita Bay Montessori School offers an educational environment for a very small student body in an effort to maximize the time spent with each child in the pursuit of their individual interests and learning experiences. The children grow and discover at their individual paces in a Montessori classroom that is rich in a curriculum that meets their needs for reading, math, visual and tactile discrimination, and practical life skills. In addition to the core Montessori materials, a wide variety of natural and social sciences, geography, movement, cooking and music activities, and Spanish lessons will round out their curriculum. Juanita Bay Montessori School opened its doors in September of 2000, and was created as the result of a tremendous love of children, a respect for their amazing potential, and a desire to provide them with the support they need to develop into the child they are capable of being. As the teachers and owners of Juanita Bay Montessori School, we have created what we feel to be the ideal learning environment for the three year old through kindergarten age child. We know that individual attention to the learning needs of these young children is of the utmost priority, and that a classroom with two teachers is an excellent way to achieve that goal.
